Under limited supervision and following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, performs laboratory tests and research projects in conjunction with pathologists, other physicians or scientists to develop data on the blood, tissues and fluids of patients. Participates in the design and implementation of new or modified clinical studies. Performs limited technical job duties as specified in CAP Regulations (Personnel Requirements for Tests of High Complexity - Testing Personnel Responsibilities). Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Individual applying for this position must possess practical knowledge of Flow Cytometry, as well as molecular techniques such as Real-Time PCR, FISH, Sanger Sequencing and/or Next Generation Sequencing. Molecular Oncology knowledge and hands-on experience with flow cytometry is strongly preferred.
