The Core Facility Flow Cytometry is connected to the Institute of Immunology, and located at the modern BMC Campus in Planegg/Martinsried. The facility hosts state-of-the art equipment: high-parameter flow cytometers, complex cell sorters, imaging cytometry and a multiplex-PCR instrument.
The positions offers diversified duties and flexible working hours, and a close relation to current topics in biomedical research.
The tasks of the Technical Assistant of the Core Facility include the maintenance and QC of flow cytometry equipment, sustaining the general lab infrastructure and consumable supply, completion of service analysis and cell sorting orders according to the current abilities, as well as training and supervision of english-speaking users for the autonomous use of the instruments.
We are looking for a candidate with an interest in technical details and accuracy, preferably with experience in the area of flow cytometry and/or cell sorting. German language skills are not mandatory. You should be able to work both independently and in close co-ordination with colleagues and users at the Core Facility.
Reliability and transparency are necessary for the confidence and research progress of the users of the Core Facility.
The position is open as of now and initially limited to 1 year, with possibility of extension given sustained degree of utilization of the Core Facility, and salary according to TV-L until E9 (50%).
