Research Associate – Flow Cytometry and Immunology

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly detail-oriented research associate with a proven background in multi-parameter flow cytometry, FACS and immunology to join our exciting antibody discovery pipeline.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Flow cytometry and FACS, including processing tissues to generate single cell suspension and staining cells
  • Bead based cell isolation
  • Running immune assays
  • Support with optimising the cell isolation pipeline
  • Data analysis
  • Maintenance of accurate records
  • Effective communication of results

Essential skills

  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (like Immunology or Cell Biology), or equivalent work experience
  • Hands-on experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry and FACS
  • Experience in handling flow cytometric analyser
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture
  • Experience with bead-based cell isolation
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies and protocols
  • Ability to work independently
  • Trouble shooting skills
  • Proactive attitude and drive
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Organised with good time management skills

Desirable skills

  • Prior knowledge of B cell biology
  • Strong background knowledge in immunology
  • Experience running immune assays and using multi-mode plate reader
  • Prior experience of developing therapeutic antibodies
