POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARS, BIOINFORMATICIANS AND TECHNICIAN POSITIONS

The Saligrama laboratory is recruiting postdoctoral fellows who are eager to be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment that fosters diverse perspectives. The main focus of the Saligrama laboratory is to understand the adaptive immune responses in neurological disorders.The postdoctoral fellow will be conducting translational neuroscience research on individuals with multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Parkinson’s Disease using cutting edge single cell technologies. In particular, we are interested in understanding the T cell receptor diversity, specificity, phenotype, and function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a life science scientist to apply single-cell analysis approaches to tackle clinically-relevant questions. The Saligrama lab is also part of The Bursky Center for Human Immunology and Immunotherapies Programs (https://burskycenter.wustl.edu) and the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders (https://hopecenter.wustl.edu).

Required applicant qualifications:

  • M.D.or Ph.D. in life science field (Immunology, Biochemistry/Biophysics, Cell Biology)
  • Neuroscienceand protein engineering background preferred but not required
  • Computational skills –Big data -transcriptomics and genomics
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent publication record
  • Expertise in flow cytometry, molecular biology, and primary human immune cells
