Job Description

Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Cellular Immunology (Lymphocyte Signalling and Development)

Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK

Role overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the Adrian Liston laboratory in our Lymphocyte Signalling and Development strategic programme.

The role will be responsible for an independent research programme which will involve technique troubleshooting, and data generation and analysis.  The project will focus on dissecting the role of regulatory T cells in the tissues, using primarily flow cytometry and animal models.

Applicants must have a PhD in immunology, with demonstrated research success (i.e., a first authorship publication with a demonstrated impact on the field). Applicants should have experience in high parameter flow cytometry and in cellular immunology techniques.  A practical and theoretical knowledge of regulatory T cell biology is advantageous, as is experience in molecular biology techniques and mouse models of disease.

This is a limited term appointment with funding for this post expected to be available until 31 May 2021 in the first instance.

Applicants must hold a PhD or have their thesis submitted when commencing the post. Please note that you will be appointed on the starting salary of £30,000 per annum, if you have not yet been awarded your PhD.
